Euro2016: Valencia star Andre Gomes claims Bale is the Wales version of Portugal's Ronaldo

Valencia star Andre Gomes has described Gareth Bale as the Wales version of Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bale is just as important for the Welsh team as Real Madrid teammate Ronald is for his Portugal but Gomes insists that the Portuguese will have to be careful of not only Bale, but the entire Wales team in the Euro2016 semi-final.

"I know Gareth from the Spanish league," said Gomes.

"I also played against British teams so I know their way to play, their style. They are very strong physically, a very good team.

"We are preparing to face a very strong Wales team, they attack very well, they counter-attack well, but we will use our best weapons to beat them.

"We know Bale is an important player, a reference, like Cristiano is for us, but I do not believe we are going to have to take special care.

"What matters is the team. There will not be anything special. We will try to take advantage of the weakness of Wales."

Portugal and Wales clash in the final four of the tournament in Lyon on Wednesday night.
