Euro2016: Lallana expecting plenty of improvement from England in knockout stage

Adam Lallana has revealed that England will improve during the knockout stages of the European Championships.

England progressed to the Round of 16 at Euro2016 but their overall displays have not been entirely convincing so far.

Winger Lallana is well aware of the fact that England have not been at their best and has stated that the players are eager to improve their performances, starting with their initial knockout phase fixture against Group F's runner-up in Nice on Monday.

He told FA TV: "I think there's plenty. We're very critical in ourselves and always wanting to improve.

"The squad's so strong and people came in and did very well yesterday so hopefully that'll give Roy a little bit of a headache in a good way.

"It's good that people keep knocking on the door and we've got a strong bench and we need an impact as we did in the Wales game."
