Dimitri Payet could be rested for France's final group stage match at Euro2016.
Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps has hinted that the West Ham United playmaker will be placed in cotton wool after starring in their opening two Group A fixtures in a bid to keep him fresh for the knockout stage of the competition.
Payet provided the assist for Olivier Giroud's opener before scoring a stunning winner in Friday's 2-1 win over Romania, and then netted a late goal to secure a 2-0 win over a plucky Albania on Wednesday night, and is now set to be treated with kid gloves.
"Payet is becoming more consistent and he has a lot of confidence," Deschamps said.
"I am going to put him on ice to keep him fresh and maintain his performance levels."
Hosts France currently sit on top of the table with six points from two matches, two clear of Switzerland, who they meet in Lille on Sunday.
