Euro2016: Coleman says willingness to work hard evident in Real Madrid stars Ronaldo, Bale

Wales coach Chris Coleman has said that a willingness to work hard and to improve is very much evident in Real Madrid stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

The star attackers, who are the two most expensive players in world football, will face off against each other when Wales take on Portugal in Euro2016 semi-final on Wednesday and Coleman sees plenty of similarities between his Dragons ace Bale and the great Ronaldo.

"If you talk to [Ryan] Giggs, or hear Sir Alex [Ferguson] speak about him [Ronaldo], it's about his desire to get better," Coleman told Sky Sports News HQ.

"You see that on the pitch, how motivated he is to score and to win but I think since he was young at Manchester United he had that desire to work hard, get better and win.

"Talent is not enough, you need mentality and attitude to go with it, just like Bale has.

"I remember him at United when I was at Fulham - he scored in the last minute in one game to win, he produced something out of ordinary. You need great individuals - they've got one and we've got one."
