France star Moussa Sissoko remains optimistic despite Les Bleus' disappointing defeat in the final of the European Championships.
France suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of Portugal in the Euro2016 final and the loss would have been even that much more bitter for the hosts due to the fact that they had dominated most of the proceedings.
Sissoko, who was arguably France's best player on the night, has gone on to admit that he has been left disappointed by the defeat but at the same time, is encouraged by his side's overall performance in the tournament.
The Newcastle United man told RTL: "We lacked that bit of luck. That is football.
"To dominate does not mean you will win. We had a very good game, we had chances, but we were not able to score. We are disappointed, but we have to deal with it.
"The injury to Ronaldo? We did not have a particular plan (against him). They were able to score in extra time, congratulations to them. A new chapter has been born for some time now.
"You can see that our team is growing day by day. It is good."
