Ethan Ampadu features for Chelsea in Crawley draw

Ethan Ampadu featured for Chelsea in their 1-1 draw with Crawley Town on Saturday.

The teenage defender has been snapped up from Exeter City.

A Chelsea XI comprising mostly of development squad players plus a few who spent last season out on loan drew 1-1 at Crawley Town in an early pre-season match.

The Chelsea goal opened the scoring on 75 minutes and was scored by Charlie Brown who had been on the pitch less than five minutes. The Blues team looked set for a win in the Saturday afternoon encounter but their League Two opponents levelled close to the end with one of very few chances in the second period.

Along with Ampadu, also featuring were Kenneth Omeruo, Michael Hector and Jamal Blackman.
