Michael Essien is backing Chelsea team-mate Petr Cech to put his recent dip in form behind him. Cech has conceded seven goals in his last two appearances and looked particularly shaky in Tuesday's 4-4 draw with Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.
"Petr is OK," said Essien. "It's one of those things that happen in football. It's over now and he's looking forward to the rest of the season.
"I don't think he's lost confidence. These things happen and when they happen you must accept it and move on. He has put it behind him."
