Espanyol striker Wu Lei has made history by becoming the first Chinese player to score in European competition, excluding the preliminary rounds.

Wu Lei gave Espanyol a 1-0 lead away to CSKA Moscow in the Europa League. The Catalans went onto win 2-0 in Russia.

The forward has fully integrated into the side and into LaLiga Santander, coach David Gallego trusts Wu Lei, and he's rewarded that faith with a goal.
