Espanyol striker Wu Lei is in talks to return home to China.

The China international isn't considered a first choice by new Espanyol coach Diego Martinez.

Sport says talks are now underway with the aim of Wu Lei leaving for Shanghai Port.

It hasn't yet been established whether he will leave in an outright transfer or for a loan.

Espanyol are willing for Wu Lei to depart as he is one of the club's highest paid players.
