Espanyol striker Martin Braithwaite says he's happy with his first season with the club.
The Dane left Barcelona for Espanyol last summer.
Asked why he chose Espanyol, Braithwaite told Mundo Deportivo: "The project. I think Espanyol has a lot of potential. Also, because I like living in Barcelona, but the most important thing was the project.
"We must fight to go to Europe. But now we are in this situation together with other teams and we have to think game by game."
On Saturday's clash with Real Madrid, he also said: "It will be a very difficult match.
"Madrid also needs victory and is under a lot of pressure. We must trust in our chances and that we can win. Every season there are teams that win at the Bernabéu. We have to be at the top to win the game."
