Espanyol striker Gerard Moreno is wanted by Villarreal.

Catalunya Radio says Villarareal have made contact with Moreno to tell him they want to sign him for next season.

Villarreal have 50 per cent of the economic rights of a future transfer, with Espanyol having the other half.

They want a striker and would only have to pay €20m as his release clause is set at €40m.

From July it rises to €50m - so €25m to Villarreal.
