Espanyol are releasing midfielder Eduardo Costa from his contract.

Espanyol sports chief Paco Herrera has confirmed the Brazil international, who has been on-loan with Gremio since January, will be allowed to leave the club at the end of this season.

Herrera also announced an extension of their partnership arrangement with Gremio, which gives them first refusal on their young players.
