Espanyol are in negotiations with Gremio over a collaboration agreement.

Sports director Paco Herrera will send representatives to Porto Alegre in October to hold talks with Gremio about a partnership deal - which would include Espanyol having first refusal on players born between 1986 and 1989.

The talks were sparked last season after Espanyol offloaded Eduardo Costa to Gremio.
