Espanyol want to sign on-loan AC Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez outright.

Lopez's deal with Espanyol is a straight loan without a permanent option.

However, Sport says Espanyol have seen enough to seek a long-term deal for the Spaniard.

And they will push to open talks with Milan this week to get the ball rolling.

For his part, Lopez would be happy to stay with Espanyol after producing form which has him on the radar of Spain coach Julen Lopetegui.
