Espanyol midfielder Sergi Dardar has laughed off Barcelona defender Gerard Pique's claims about the Catalan derby.

Pique has said, “I wanted Espanyol to come up to play at their stadium. Not even sex is comparable with the feeling of playing at their stadium."

Now Darder has responded to Pique in Marca. “I don't know," he said. “Maybe winning it (the derby), I wont say that it isn't.

“With Espanyol we have not had that luck. In the cup we beat them but they knocked us out. I don't know if I'd say so as much as Pique but it is a special game."

The midfielder says he's in his best moments now, rather than earlier in his career. “When you debut, you want to eat the world but right now I'm at the ideal age physically and mentally."
