Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez: A Tottenham return?

Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez says he's a better player for his time with Tottenham.

Lopez spent last season on-loan with Spurs, working as third string keeper behind Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm.

He said, "My good performance is thanks to the team, it's a very different team, if a unit plays better and defends better, in the end, it also goes better for you.

"In England, I learned about this sport more, how to act in each action, and I feel more confident in making decisions on the field. Every moment, although I still have a lot to learn, every day is a good day to improve, I am with Diego (Lopez), who is one of the best in Spain and Europe and I learn everyday from him, he is one of the best."

Asked if he considered returning to Tottenham over the summer, Lopez was adamant.

"I did not think about it, it was a good experience, but in the short term I did not think about it."
