Espanyol coach Quique Sanchez Flores has taken aim at Barcelona pair Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets.

On Friday, the club officially requested that the authorities look into the comments by the Barcelona players after Barca's Copa del Rey win.

"People don't offend me, but I do defend my team, my profession and knowing how to win which is as important or more important than knowing how to lose," he said.

"We always represent the ideas of our club, it's a coherent group who know what we are doing.

"In football we talk a lot about knowing how to lose, but it's also important to know how to win.

"It surprises me that, in this case, they have interpreted this badly.

"We can't control it, it is hard enough to control sporting situations, like controlling everything around and outside of the club.

"We appeal to common sense, we show what we have, a great history, and that's why we support 100% the messages of the club, we are well informed on everything and represent the fans."
