Espanyol chief Roger Guasch says Mario Hermoso will only leave for his buyout clause.

Guasch is clear that the club won't be strong-armed into anything.

"He has one year left on his contract, and it's normal that he wants to develop," the club's CEO said.

"We want to talk about the [release] clauses and in Hermoso's case it's 40 million euros. If a player is worth 50 million euros and there's a 42-45 million euro offer, then we can talk.

"But if it's 10 million euros, we won't talk anymore. Espanyol will get as much as they can for their own good and interests.

"There was an offer from Atletico Madrid but, as I said, we have to speak negotiations from the [release] clause."
