Former England coach Sven Goran Eriksson says he'd have handled Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele differently compared with Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho went public with his criticism of Ndombele after last weekend's draw with Burnley.
"All coaches have their own style. I personally would be afraid to do what Mourinho does, because I would be afraid to lose the player. But Mourinho may not lose him, because he can do things this week that weighs this up," said Svennis.
"The criticism may be well deserved, but I would have handled it internally. If a player treats the referee badly for example, then I could take it with the media, but if they play poorly then I would prefer that I do it privately.
"That's how I would do it and I'm not saying it's right."
