Former Manchester United goalkeeping coach Eric Steele believes the club can look to an Englishman to replace David De Gea.
With some doubt regarding the Spaniard signing a new contract at United, the club may start to look for alternatives in the winter or next summer.
But Steele believes that with the likes of Dean Henderson at United and others in the Premier League, there are plenty of top young English keepers in the game.
"Yeah, I did it [looking abroad for top keepers]. And as you know, it was at a very big club. At the time, I had to have a good look around," Steele told Sky Sports News.
"I look now, and it has come half circle - not quite full circle yet, but it's got to encourage us.
"As an England set-up, it's great to have more English keepers playing in the Premier League, and long may it continue."
