Eric Abidal is fighting for his job at Barcelona today.

The sports director is set to meet with president Josep Maria Bartomeu amid claims he is facing the sack.

Abidal was expected to review the January market with Bartomeu, with initial suggestions he was to complain about interference from the board in his transfer work.

However, Catalunya Radio says Abidal instead could be shown the door after a disappointing winter transfer window.

The board was expecting a striker signing to be made, but Abidal failed to deliver, despite a healthy transfer budget being made available.
