An English group have failed with a bid for Parma.

La Repubblica reports an offer has been made by Proto Enterprises Limited, a consortium based in London and owned by Alessandro Proto.

They were willing to pay €500,000 for the crisis club and cover their massive debts.

But Parma president Giampietro Manenti has rejected the offer.
