English Championship set to restart on June 20

The English Championship is set to restart on June 20.

However, clubs face the prospect of playing nine games in just 32 days as part of a hectic schedule to finish the campaign.

The Telegraph says the play-off final is now scheduled to take place in early August after the disruption caused by the coronavirus crisis.

A number of Championship clubs have revealed their concern with the proposed restart date, and also harbour worries over the sheer amount of games they will have to play over the coming weeks.

QPR, Stoke, Barnsley, Luton and Huddersfield are among those to have expressed their disapproval with the schedule, with the senior management at Loftus Road particularly 'appalled'.
