England youngsters inspired by Serbia taunts

Serbia's racist fans have inspired England to go on and win the U21 European Championships.

The FA made a formal complaint to UEFA over Serb fans' sick chants and a tunnel ruck in which Justin Hoyte was abused.

But Reading striker Leroy Lita, who scored in Sunday's 2-0 win, is out to see off Holland in tomorrow's Euro Championship semi - then beat Serbia again in Saturday's final.

The Serbs were livid when Matt Derbyshire netted England's second goal with Chelsea defender Slobodan Rajkovic down injured.

Reading striker Lita said: "If you want to play fair, don't make racist chants or call people racist names.

"If they play fair, we'll give them the ball back."

Blackburn's Derbyshire added: "Everyone knows what they are like.

"When you hear your team-mates being racially abused it pulls you together as a team."
