England are trying to convince Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to leave Spain.
Sanchez is currently with Spain for this week's World Cup qualifiers, but could still switch to England, reports AS. The goalkeeper would need to be capped five times by Spain to be fully committed to the La Roja.
England coach Gareth Southgate has spoken to Sanchez about switching allegiences, but for the moment he is committed to Spain.
Sanchez is currently third-choice for Spain behind Unai Simon (Athletic Bilbao) and David de Gea (Manchester United).
He is yet to play in a competitive game for Spain.
