England chiefs are fighting to secure the commitment of Charlton Athletic youngster Jeremy Sarmiento.
The highly-rated Addicks kid has Manchester City closely monitoring his progress.
The Sun says Sarmiento, who turned 16 recently also has a decision to make at international level with Ecuador and Spain knocking on his door.
Born in Madrid to Ecuadorian parents, he qualifies for England after his family moved to London when he was seven.
The youngster has already played for the Three Lions Under-16's.
Now the Spanish FA have been alerted to his availability and are set to offer him a place in their Under-18 squad.
However, the South Americans will look to blow the rest out of the water by offering the teenage sensation a call-up to the senior Ecuador squad.
