England boss Gareth Southgate will name Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in the Nations League finals squad.

The Spurs star is racing to be fit for June 1's Champions League final against Liverpool in Madrid.

Southgate has been contacting both Kane and Tottenham for fitness updates on his captain, the Mirror has claimed.

Kane has been sidelined since he injured his left ankle in the first leg of a Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City last month.

England will play the Netherlands on June 6 in the inaugural finals of the Nations League.
