England manager Gareth Southgate has made it onto the shortlist for Coach of the Year from FIFA.

Southgate may not have gotten England to the World Cup final, but his team's overachievement to reach the semis has seen him recognized.

He is among elite company on the list, with the likes of Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola, Massimiliano Allegri, Diego Simeone, Ernesto Valverde, Zinedine Zidane, Didier Deschamps, Zlato Dalic and Roberto Martinez on the list.

FIFA also announced the candidates for women's coach of the year - and the men's and women's player of the year.

Southgate will be hoping for a successful qualification campaign for Euro 2020 with England in the next couple years.
