England boss Southgate insists Arsenal starlet Saka 'does not need closure'

England manager Gareth Southgate insists Bukayo Saka doesn't need closure after the Euro 2020 final defeat.

Arsenal youngster Saka missed the decisive spot-kick in England's penalty shootout loss to Italy in July.

Saka celebrated his 20th birthday with a goal in England's 4-0 win over Andorra on Sunday.

"It was a lovely moment for him to score," said England boss Southgate.

"He got a fabulous reception before and during the game. You can see how popular he is with the team."

Asked if Saka's goal would bring closure to the player, Southgate added: "From my perspective he doesn't need closure.

"The talent that he has, he is a hugely exciting player. No need from our side for closure."
