England boss Capello justifies Man Utd's Neville selection

England coach Fabio Capello feels he has little option to include Gary Neville rather than Micah Richards in his latest England squad. Manchester United defender Neville has not played for England under Capello.

He was not in the squad for the UEFA Champions League final against Barcelona and could be Sir Alex Ferguson's fourth-choice right-back next season.

"We haven't got in England a right-back," said Capello.

"I spoke to Wes Brown in Rome and he told me he is not completely fit but he will be OK for next season."

Manchester City youngster Micah Richards has been capped at senior international level but has had an indifferent season at Eastlands.

"He has had some problems in his team, he has played sometimes but missed some games," Capello explained.

"For me, I know him because he was with me once, he is young and not ready for the seniors now."
