Endo hoping for a non-Japanese coach

Japan midfielder Yasuhito Endo is keen on a foreign coach for the national team.

The Gamba Osaka star hopes the Japan Football Association consider bringing in a non-Japanese coach to take over Takeshi Okada's position as manager of the Blue Samurai as it would help develop the state of the game in the Asian nation.

"I want to work with coaches from all over the word," Endo said.

"It's not yet certain who the coach will be but if possible I'd like it to be somebody from a country that we haven't had yet, so that we can get different ideas and learn from that.

"I would like to ask for someone from a different country."
