Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has admitted that he is not 100% fit for the season opener against Arsenal which takes place on Sunday.

The German international is lagging behind in his pre-season preparations due to his participation in Euro2016, however, he still hasn't given up hope of making Jurgen Klopp's squad for the trip to the Emirates Stadium on opening weekend.

"To be honest I'm not 100 per cent and I have to work hard to get there," he told Liverpoolfc.com.

"I have been working hard to get there for next week, then we will see how far along I am."
