Middlesbrough striker Arnel Jakupovic is attracting Italian interest.
The Austrian is currently playing for Boro's U23s and has emerged as a January target for Empoli.
The Daily Star says Empoli management are eager to sign Jakupovic before next week's deadline falls.
It is understood Jakupovic is keen to make the move.
