Empoli coach Zanetti on Napoli defeat: They play remarkable football

Empoli coach Paolo Zanetti hailed Napoli after Saturday's 2-0 defeat to the Serie A leaders.

An Ardian Ismajli own goal and Victor Osimhen's tap-in saw Napoli to victory despite Mario Rui's dismissal.

Zanetti said: “Napoli are in some ways completely unplayable, because they do everything almost perfectly," said Zanetti in his press conference.

“I am not completely satisfied with how we played, as we could've done better when in possession and perhaps were a bit too reverential towards them.

“We probably would've lost anyway, because this is a Napoli team that ridiculed Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt, so imagine what they could do with us. We fought with the usual grit, but this time it was not enough.

“The football Napoli are playing is remarkable, they feel strong, they express themselves on the pitch with so much belief. I don't see any better in Europe."
