Elliott impressive as Liverpool cruise past MK Dons

Liverpool cruised to a comfortable 2-0 win over Milton Keynes Dons to secure their place on the Carabao Cup fourth-round on Wednesday.

James Milner opened the scoring thanks to a howler from MK Dons goalkeeper Stuart Moore.

Ki-Jana Hoever scored his first goal professional goal for the club when he rose beautifully to header home Milner's cross.

Harvey Elliott became the youngest Liverpool player to start a competitive match for the club at 16 years and 174 days.

The former Fulham midfielder was excellent and played alongside two other competitive debutants in Caoimhin Kelleher and Rhian Brewster.
