Elfsborg manager Stefan Andreasson chief insists there's been no contact with Newcastle United over Joseph Okumu.

The Kenyan defender has been linked with Newcastle and Wolfsburg in recent days.

Okumu told Fotbollskanalen: "I saw that there was something about it on Twitter, but we have had no contact with Newcastle. Joseph has done very well in a short period of time, which is evident, even though he has not played so many matches.

"There has been nothing concrete. We have a good relationship with Joseph and he is focused on performing well for us. He does not have to leave now."
