Elanga reveals Man Utd veterans key to Wolves performance

Manchester United youngster Anthony Elanga spoke about the value of having the likes of Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic in the starting lineup against Wolves.

United picked up a 2-1 win away from home to close out their Premier League season.

The Red Devils rotated heavily in preparation for the Europa League final against Villarreal on Wednesday.

Elanga earned his second start in the past month and scored the first goal of the game from a Daniel James cross.

"I felt really relaxed, even more than the first game," he explained to reporters, per the United website.

"Obviously it was my first game so I was nervous and things like that.

"The second game I felt more relaxed, I was getting on the ball and keeping it simple. I was speaking to Juan and Matic before the game. They said 'if you simplify it, you'll be class, you'll be the best player on the pitch' and that's what I did. I was just trying to keep it simple but be effective with it."

He added: "I felt really sharp today.

"The ball from Alex [Telles], I think that was the easiest chance out of the lot, I think I could have just hit that first time. But I just kept going and then I had another opportunity on my left foot and it went over the bar. When the third opportunity came I just thought, 'nah, I'm gonna score this one'. I made a good connection with the head so that was good."
