Eintracht Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner is being back for a move to Tottenham.
Spurs have made contact with Glasner's agents as they prepare to axe manager Antonio Conte.
Glasner guided Frankfurt to an impressive Europa League win last season, however they were unable to beat Serie A leaders Napoli in the last 16 this year.
Former Frankfurt head coach Friedhelm Funkel said Glasner would be tempted by such interest.
"Eintracht Frankfurt is a great club, but there are even more attractive jobs," he told Sky Sport Germany.
"If a request comes from abroad, then I believe that Oliver will think about it."
He added: "At Eintracht, you don't know whether the team can be kept together... the risk of staying in Frankfurt is too great."
