Eight cup finals for Blackburn midfielder Andrews

Keith Andrews admits Blackburn have got 'eight cup finals left' as they look to avoid relegation. The Republic of Ireland international admits the Ewood Park side need to win all their remaining games to ensure their safety.

"In terms of club form we have got eight games left and, as the old cliche goes, they are eight cup finals, but they really are eight massive games that we have got to address each one at a time and try and get maximum points from," Andrews told Sky Sports News.

"It is a big, big couple of months coming up."

Andrews joined Rovers from MK Dons under former boss Paul Ince in the summer and the former Wolves man believes he has got better as the season has progressed.

"I have gone into that league not really knowing what it was about, what I would have to do to play at a reasonable standard, but as the season has gone on I have felt a lot more confident," added Andrews.

"The new manager has come in and results have been better on the whole and the whole place is a lot more confident which obviously gives you more confidence as an individual.

"Added to that the international scene tends to give you that little bit more confidence to do your stuff."
