Egypt coach Shawki Garib has declared he intends to take Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah to the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Salah can play in Japan next summer as an overage player.
"We will talk with Liverpool in March," said Garib.
"We have not discussed this with the player himself yet. The problem is that the African Cup will be held just a few months after the Olympics, but the latter will end three days before the start of the season in England.
"But we can't call Salah if Liverpool don't agree."
