EFL Championship set to resume on June 20

The EFL Championship in England is set to resume on June 20th.

The second division in English football has been on hiatus due to the coronavirus outbreak.

But the league has taken steps to ensure that games can happen safely during this pandemic.

They have a plan to finish the league by July 31st, as that is when many contracts for players and staff run out.

There are nine games left for each of the teams, and they have agreed to cram them into four weeks to settle the season.

Extra time is needed for the play-offs, which determine the third team that gets promoted into the Premier League.

The league should finish by July 18, leaving enough days for the play-offs to wrap up before July 31st.
