Eduardo demanding more match time at Arsenal

Eduardo da Silva is demanding more playing time at Arsenal.

The Croatia striker insists he's in good form, but needs a run of games to prove his worth.

"I can say that I am very close to my best form. I only need more consistent playing time - like five games in a row," Eduardo told the News of the World.

"Wenger insists on a gradual comeback for me and Tomas Rosicky and I just want to play every game. I miss that feeling in my lungs, when I run up the pitch three times in a row and still feel I can do the same for the fourth time.

"But I can only get there with playing games. It's impossible to reach that level just with training. I am glad that the coach trusts me.

"Arsenal showed what they think of me by offering me a new contract. I read about Liverpool's interest in the papers but that is all. It's always flattering when big clubs are interested in you."
