Barcelona are watching teenage Ecuadorian winger Gonzalo Plata.

Sport says Barca are scouting the 18 year-old Independiente del Valle winger.

Confirming Barca's interest, Plata's agent admits a move to Europe could be on in 2019.

Manuel Sierra said, "I have been asked for Plata, the teams want to know in what situation we are in with Independiente.

"Because of his qualities as a footballer, he could complete his development in Europe, there's nothing in particular, but he's excited to go to Barcelona."

Plata also stated: "There are rumours, it is talking about the possibility of going to Barcelona. They saw me play and liked my game."
