Eboue admits being hurt by Arsenal fans boos

Emmanuel Eboue admits last season's row with Arsenal fans was difficult.

The versatile right-footer admits he was unhappy when he became a target for the boo-boys last season.

He said: "When the fans booed me I was upset - I swear I was ready to stop playing. I have been here for five years so I was thinking, 'Why should they boo me?' But that's life, you can't do anything about that.

"Now I feel good, though. I am strong in my head and my friends have helped me a lot. Now all I want to do is play my best in every game and make the fans happy.

"I have more confidence when I play. The manager has given me a lot of confidence and I have the fans behind me now, so that helps me a lot when I play."
