Hamilton defender Brian Easton is expected to complete a move to Premier League newcomers Burnley this week.

The clubs have agreed a deal for the full-back who will undergo a medical at Turf Moor today.

The proposed deal was confirmed on Hamilton's official website.

"Hamilton Accies and Burnley Football Club have agreed a transfer fee for the transfer of Brian Easton. Brian will travel to England for his medical and thereafter join Burnley on their tour of California," the statement read.

"We wish to record our appreciation of the way Owen Coyle conducted the negotiations and good fortune to Brian on the next phase of his career.

"Both clubs have agreed not to divulge the financial details of the transfer."
