Cardiff City are hoping to appoint a new manager as soon as possible.
The Championship side sacked Steve Morison on Sunday.
Cardiff are presently in 18th place in the second division after 10 matches.
Losing to managerless Huddersfield Town on Saturday was the final straw.
Bookmakers have put Nathan Jones and Sean Dyche as the two favourites for the post.
Dyche has not worked since losing his Burnley post last term.
Meanwhile, Jones is a Cardiff fan who would love nothing more than to bring the club back to the top flight.
