Dyche: Everton fans so important for victory Bournemouth

Everton boss Sean Dyche was proud of his players after victory over Bournemouth secured their Premier League status.

Abdoulaye Doucoure hit a superb winner to keep Everton up.

Dyche said: "Very pleasing for me, my staff, the players, the fans and the club. A lot o noise when I got here about it being done, the club was gone, cracks in there. All sorts of stuff. I've been mostly pleased to pull that together somewhat. We've got a connection with the fans, they've been terrific, they've been absolutely amazing.

"The calmness today by the way needs a mention. It's very difficult for fans when they hear results come through. I thought they were immaculate, they stayed calm, they stayed behind the team and willed us to get the right result. We will definitely need that going forwards, there is so much to do here. This is just a start point. I don't think I'm part of the fabric at Everton just yet. Pre season is going to be very, very important here."

On Doucoure's goal: "I thought he mishit it a little bit. At the end of the day he's been terrific. Special mention to Conor Coady, I left him out but his professionalism has been terrific. He comes back in today and delivers a very strong performance. Ducs has been first class, ever since I walked in the building. I'm not questioning other managers, I don't do that. Everyone has their style, I like him, I always did. He deserved his goal today, a fine strike that wins us the match."

"James Garner has been absolutely terrific. We brought him in knowing he had been injured and we got him back in the side and he has grown into the game and we asked so much of him, so much of Dwight McNeil and they have delivered. There are some unsung heroes who don't always get the big words. They all have played their part in one way or another."
