Dyche delighted with Burnley 'resilience' for Chelsea point

Burnley boss Sean Dyche was delighted with their 2-2 draw at Chelsea.

Jeff Hendrick's volley put Burnley ahead but six minutes later they went behind through Chelsea goals from N'Golo Kante and Gonzalo Higuain. Ashley Barnes levelled things after just 25 minutes.

Dyche told Sky Sports: "We've shown resilience this season. There are players with more technical prowess than us for sure. There's been a lot of noise about this season, saying it's been a bad season - I actually think it's been a fantastic season.

"The confusion and injuries we had made it difficult. We had to remind ourselves of what got us where we are.

"You want to progress - as a manager and my players and staff. You've seen Dwight McNeil and the development of many players.

"I think we have a running wage bill of £58m and there can't be too many with less than that. We stay focused on the team and that's a really powerful thing for us.

"I get paid a tenner - I do it for love.

"I don't think we can relax and enjoy it - but after the season we've had to get to 40 points is a big marker. We know, unless strange things occur, we'll be working in the Premier League again next year."
