Duvan Zapata is eager to return to action for Atalanta.

The striker has been missing since October with a thigh injury.

"I've been working alone during the Christmas break, trying to get back into shape and feel much better now, so I hope to be ready for the January 6 match against Parma," he told the official Atalanta website.

“I can only hope 2020 is better for me than 2019.

"I've really missed being with the team, I got anxious watching the games, because I was unable to help my teammates. It was really a struggle and I can't wait to let it all out once I get back on the field."
