Dutch football was easy but I could have made it in Germany - Chelsea forward Piazon

Lucas Piazon has opened up about his time on loan in both Holland and Germany.

The Brazilian forward has recently been sent out on his fifth loan by parent club Chelsea and will spend the 2016/17 season with West London neighbours Fulham.

Piazon starred for Eredivisie club Vitesse Arnhem during the 2013/14 campaign before experiencing the German Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt the following season.

The 22-year-old told Daily Mail: “I had a great time at Vitesse Arnhem and that helped.

“The Dutch league is all about playing football. They don't defend like crazy.

“We had a great squad, playing great football and it was so easy to score or make assists.

“Then I moved to Germany (Eintracht Frankfurt) where you have to run 12km or 13km in every game. After the first game I lay on the pitch, almost dead.

“I've learned it takes time to adapt and maybe with two or three years in Germany I could have made a better impact."
